In this episode, Brian Scheuble returns to show you the art of capturing vocals like a pro. Brian has worked with some of the most influential singers of all time like Tina Turner, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, Serena Ryder, and more.  In this session, you'll learn how to make the vocals cut through the mix, achieve that professional vocal take using appropriate mic distance.  Brian gives us tips on how to glue and blend your vocals into the style in which you're working, and teaches us some EQ and fundamental frequency basics.  He also shows us how to select the correct microphone, compressor, EQ, effects, and gain structure for your style.  Not to be ignored, Brian gives us some valuable advice about making sure your artist is comfortable, has a good headphone mix, and takes breaks often enough, in order to produce their best performance.  You'll also learn the importance of correct signal flow, acknowledging the sound of the room, and correct use of the click track.
